Waffle Sloppy Joes

Serves: 4, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 bell pepper, coarsely chopped, ½ onion, coarsely chopped, 1 pound ground turkey, ¾ tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, Salt and pepper, Gluten Free Waffles Original, toasted, Sour cream, sliced avocado and cilantro, for serving,


In a large, heavy skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the bell pepper and onion, and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the turkey and cook over medium-high heat, breaking up the meat, until cooked through, about 6 minutes.

Stir in the tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce, and season with about 1 teaspoon salt and about ¼ teaspoon pepper; reduce the heat to low and let simmer.

Place 2 toasted waffles on each plate, top with some of the sloppy joe sauce, sour cream, avocado and cilantro.
