Whether for school lunches, afternoon snacks or team gatherings, it’s easy—and fun—to make your own DIY snack mix. Bonus: These snack mixes don’t involve turning on your oven during the hot summer months.
I’ve included two recipes, but you can definitely mix things up and toss in your favorite ingredients. I love to play with salty-sweet flavors and my ingredients usually include cereal, salty pretzels, chips or nuts, chewy dried fruit, crunchy freeze-dried fruit and sometimes even a handful of chocolate chips.
Once you toss the ingredients together, it’s simple to pack up the snack mix in your favorite reusable container for later or in mini snack bags. Then, you’re ready for snacking fun at a moment’s notice!
IngredientsMakes: 8 cups, 3 cups Gluten Free Cereals : Cocoa Sensation™, 1½ cup plantain chips or banana chips, 1 cup unsweetened coconut chips or coconut flakes, 1 cup roasted salted almonds, ½ cup raw pistachios, ½ cup dried berries, such as cranberries, cherries or blueberries, ½ cup chocolate chips,
In a large bowl, toss together all of the ingredients.
