As Van’s fans know, we at Van’s care a great deal about our customers (and employees, family members and colleagues) who deal with allergy issues. That’s why we were intrigued and encouraged to read about some upsides for those who are allergic to varied aspects of their environments.
Medical News Today reports that researchers from the University of Illinois at Chicago have just published findings in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention demonstrating that the more allergies people have, the lower their risk of developing certain kinds of brain tumors.
According to one of the study’s authors, "... we confirmed that allergies are protective and found that the more allergies one has, the more protected he or she is."
