We at Van’s love our fruits, vegetables and, of course, the whole grains that we use for so many of our delicious breakfast foods. As if the taste weren’t reason enough to keep up this habit, we’ve come across a new study
from the journal Stroke
that suggests the antioxidants in fruits, veggies and whole grains might reduce stroke risk in some women – even among those with heart disease.
We’ve written before about the nutritional wonders of the mighty antioxidant. This is just another reminder that planning meals based around fruits, whole grains and veggies is not only yummy, but it’s something your body will thank you for.
