There’s a great
video online that shows what happened when one subway station in Stockholm, Sweden got a makeover of sorts from The Fun Theory, replacing a conventional staircase with stairs made to look – and sound – like piano keys.
The folks at The Fun Theory hypothesize that they can get people to change behaviors by making certain things more fun. And they say their experiment with the piano stairs proves their point – apparently, 60% more people used the stairs in their piano configuration than they did on a normal day.
This got us thinking about ideas for making exercise fun on a smaller scale, in our own homes. We’ve shared before about family dance parties, and just about everyone knows the benefits of a great workout MP3 playlist . . . but we’d love to hear your tips for making exercise fun in the comments.
